as cliche as it may sound, time really flies. i've been on this planet earth for a whooping seventeen years already. Thank God for sustaining me till this day. esp after how he brought me through OLC and allowed me to thoroughly enjoy my hol despit not getting much rest in between. hallelujah. =)
pray that he will continue to bless me. =)
anyway, I SURVIVED OLC. phew. actually the art that i feared most did not come true.so thank God. i was most afraid of being screamed at hollered at and being punished, but thankfully, none came true. =)
but tough the camp was.
first day: pulau ubin: land orienteering for 8 horus in the blistering sun with a ton for our backpack. lucky for me, no blisters. i dont think i would have survived with them. for that, i salute those who endured the entire camp with those sickly bumps.
second day: land expedition in S'pore. it was something like amazing race. just not that much running but ALOT of brisk walking and climbing. combed S'pore for around 8 hrs too. went to macritchie, bukit timah (almost died), turf city, fort canning etc.
third day: sea ex and cross country. didnt manage to complete even half of se ex. couldnt take the sea for nuts. gave up and clocked in the most of 2 hours while the est did six. guilt was definitely on my shoulders as i saw how freakign tired everyone else was while i was sleeping/ resting at the campsite. for x-country, it wasnt so bad for me as i had rest. but for the rest, pure torture. but again they got through. i have to admit that most of them are like PRO.
fourth day: scaling of kota tinggi. where i nearly lost my life too. one slip of my good hand of mine and you would never see another update on this blog again. yes. it was that dangerous, or at least to me. there was no ropes, no harness, nothing. we were just relying on the good old trusty tree roots and our poor hands that kayaked almost 14km the say before. but Thank God again, everyone was safe. campfire was okay. nothing very exciting.
fifth day: THE DAY. descending kota. it was FREAKY. seriuosly. almost vertical limit and again, i slipped and almost joined the unknown creatures at the bottom of the waterfall. praise the Lord.
apart from MANY bruises and scratches, i am well and alive thanks to God. =)
and God was so great that he let BLIZZARD become the champion. *jumps for joy* it was totally surreal. the feeling of satisfaction. completion. mind over body mantra. how we have completed the freaking camp. SHIOK. =)
